Physical disabilities
Careline Lifestyles provides a range of services to support adults with physical disabilities. We ensure that their physical needs as well as their emotional and social requirements are looked after within our Group of Residential Care Homes.
We provide individual support to each service user ensuring that a care plan is created specifically for them which promotes them making choices, being involved in decision making and fulfils their aspirations and adds quality to their lives.
Support
At Careline Lifestyles we provide a varied range of support and facilities depending upon the severity of the disability. Some people may prefer to live in one of our ‘independent living units’ which offer the facilities of a flat, but are set within our Care Homes, others may prefer to have an en-suite bedroom. With either option, the support of carers and nurses is on hand 24 hours a day to ensure that the relevant level of care and support is constantly available.
People with physical disabilities may also require physiotherapy treatment and to ensure that they receive the optimum level of support, Careline Lifestyles employ an in-house physiotherapist who is able to work with Service User’s to devise strategies towards further rehabilitation or the maintenance of physical functioning.
Facilities
The range of facilities we have at all of our homes is state of the art, including hoists, tracking, baths, showers, beds, chairs. If specialist equipment is required for a service user that we do not have, we endeavour to ensure that we have it in place prior to admission wherever possible.
In addition to the ‘essentials’ Careline Lifestyles homes are equipped with hydrotherapy pools, gymnasiums, sensory rooms and sensory gardens, all of which are designed to assist where possible with physical, neurological and sensory improvement.
Long Term Care
At Careline Lifestyles many of our residents have been with us for numerous years and will be with us for many more. We therefore encourage them to decorate their rooms to suit their own taste and welcome family and friends to participate in their daily lives as much as possible.
Short Term and Respite Care
Caring for someone with a physical disability or illness can be a very challenging responsibility. At Careline Lifestyles we recognise that families who look after their loved ones sometimes need a break and that is why we also offer a short term and respite care service – some service users come to us for regular weekend breaks while others come to us for longer periods of time.
